Anyway, that aside, as for the “deadness” of the game, that depends. If you’re referring to the PUG scene in the general storyline areas, yeah, it’s a bit dead. You can still find people in the outposts, but they’re usually there for HM title-progression. Mission outposts are usually packed on the Zaishen day looking for PUGs, but again, for HM.
The only way to guarantee people is to join a newbie-friendly guild who are willing to do the basic missions with you.
That’s kind of the silver lining — with so many people coming in to the game to see what it’s all about in preparation for GW2, I think you now can actually find people who are doing this all for the first time and are filling out those newbie-friendly guilds.
So, to answer your question: Yes and no. General PUGs are kind of dead, the veterans are title-grinding and speed-clearing. But with a little effort, you can find people to play with.

There are countless thousands of people playing at any point in time, however since heroes are so effective now, pugging is a thing of the past for all but new entrants or those who do Z-bounties and such with people for fun.
Is it any wonder? Most of us can almost any HM content or dungeon easier, faster and without the moaning you get from know-it all whiners in pug groups these days.
Join a guild with plenty of newer players and you will be fine.

In the recent News, in an interview of foreign media, “Guild Wars 2,” the author Ree Soebee, said that most of the World of Warcraft activities available to the player do not constitute a story.

“I do not think that a copy of a story or Raid event of any relationship with it than you gradually see more wonderful things, but you did not really experience a story.” She said.

Soesbee reiterated this view: “World of Warcraft’s story is usually a guy broke into the home / nest / castle, and defeat them, this is cool, but it’s not a story.”

She seems to know more information about World of Warcraft, and she is able to make fair judgments: “I have been playing World of Warcraft for a long time, and there are a lot of 80 account.”
